The Perfect Full Time Rig – Grand Design Momentum 376TH
We bought the Perfect full time Rig! If you’ve been following us for awhile, you might say “omg they got another new camper??” yes, yes we did. We sold our Class A a few months ago because we didn’t know what we wanted to do. We threw the idea around of looking at houses but with interest rates being the way they are, and us still not knowing where we wanna live..we decided to just get the closest to a house we could.
Grand Design Momentum 395Ms vs 376Th
When looking at toy hauler fifth wheels we were between the 376TH and the 395MS. They are boy toy haulers but have very different size garages, living spaces, and storage.
The Grand Design Momentum 395 is laid out like a traditional toy hauler where you have a smaller living space/ kitchen and a huge garage in the back. We really like the idea of this layout because you can use the garage as a deck and sit out there to watch the sunset, have coffee etc. The main reason we don’t like this layout is because you loose a lot of living space and the camper just doesn’t feel very homey.
The Grand Design Momentum 376Th, in my opinion, is the best laid out toy hauler. The inside is laid out like a non toy hauler fifth wheel. That being said you don’t loose the big kitchen, living space, and bedroom. Instead of having the toy hauler attached to the living room, its actually under the bedroom with its own access through the back of the camper.
So why did we go with the 376TH? Well like i said above, it’s the best of both worlds. You get the ultimate layout and still have a garage for all of your toys.
The Toy Hauler
Obviously the toy hauler area isn’t as big as the traditional toy haulers, but it is the perfect size for what we need it for. It id 9.25 ft long,5.25ft Wide , and 5.5ft Tall. Plenty of room for 2 dirt bikes, 2 surf boards, 2 paddle boards, all of my gym equipment and James tools.
The Kitchen -Grand Design Momentum 376TH
My favorite part of this camper is the kitchen. I love to cook and meal prep so having a spacious kitchen with plenty of counter space was a must for me. Not to mention this RV has a full size over with 3 burners, and a convection oven built into the microwave. You also get a ton of storage! You get two different pantries for dry goods. The one pantry / closet has washer & dryer hookups if you wanted to add them.
This layout also comes with a kitchen table and 4 chairs. We weren’t a fan of having the normal chairs so we decided to add a dinette bench seat on the one side. To us, the bench just makes it cozier and more comfortable to sit and eat or work at the kitchen table.
The Living Room
The living room is super cozy in this Grand Design Momentum. You have 2 sofas that turn into rv queen sleepers, and 2 recliners. The recliners are heated and have massagers in them making it our favorite seat to hangout. Towards the front of the living room you have your tv, fire place, stereo system and storage.
The living room offers plenty of space to sleep up to 4 people if you keep both couches. We are going to be full-timing in this rv and working remotely so we decided to take out one of the couches and put in a dedicated workspace instead. (check out how we made our desk here)
The Bedroom – Grand Design Momentum 376TH
Like the rest of the rv, grand design made this bedroom super spacious with TONS of closet space and storage. Ours came with a rv queen but you can get this layout with a king size bed. Keep in mind if you get a king bed, you won’t have room on either side of the bed which will make the bedroom feel smaller.
Overall, if you’re looking for a Full time Rv that is spacious, feels homey, and has plenty of amenities and storage. This Fifth Wheel is for you!
